What is
KaPWA Kagubatan?
Kindred and Purpose Weekend for Admits (KaPWA) is an event that invites high school students that have been admitted to UCLA to spend a weekend learning what being a college student - more specifically a UCLA Bruin - is all about. Students will engage in college activities first-hand with current UCLA students and their fellow admits. KaPWA will essentially help students engage with our campus in an intimate and unique way. It will also help create a community for the admitted freshmen so that if they decide to come to UCLA, they will already have friends and a network of support. After being exposed to campus culture, residential life, and the resources and opportunities that are available to them, students will be able to make informed decisions on whether or not UCLA is the right place for them. This year, KaPWA Kagubatan is a forest-like theme that will bring admits through the new beginnings of life in college that will help them see what UCLA has to offer them.
